Vector Laboratories公司是世界著名的生物學檢測試劑公司。1977年首先開發出了生物素-親和素系統，該產品系列是檢測方法上的重要革命。之后經過不懈的努力，VectorLaboratories公司發展出ABC技術（Avidin : Biotinylated Enzyme ComplexTechnology，親和素-生物素-過氧化物酶復合物技術）并建立了著名的VECTASTAIN@ ABC系統，該系統被普遍視為目前zui靈敏、zui可靠與zui有效的染色系統，并被廣泛應用于免疫組織化學、免疫電鏡、原位雜交與凝集素化學中。而該系統仍在不斷地發展，以滿足廣大研究人員的各種不同要求（如多抗原的標記檢測）

ABC技術利用生物素和卵白素具有*親和性的生物學特征，將卵白素和生物素化辣根酶按照一定的比例混合，形成ABC復合物。該法亦被稱作三步法，*步為biotin化二抗和一抗結合，第二步為avidin（親和素，A液）和二抗上的biotin結合，第三步為HRP偶聯的biotin（B液）和avidin結合，而HRP再催化底物顯色完成染色。
